Artist Blog 30: Tiago Hoisel
Tiago Hoisel has a great sense of humor and artist ability. All his work made me laugh. I love the cartoonish look and feel of his art. I feel like they need to be in a movie. His art work reminds me of an artist from pixar. The picture of the little boy and the cheeta is so funny! The boy running away form the cheeta that is chasing him because ehe was playing connect the dots. The little frog on the bottom is cute as well. I love how it looks like the boy is running towards the viewer, this is done by the artist making the foot bigger then the rest of the work behind it. The piece of the man looking at the sky of women falling is also really funny. A skinny geeky guy is getting his dream of women falling fromt he sky. So funny. The picture of the two monkeys reminds me of the movie the Incredible. Its funny that the little chimp is yelling at the big gorilla. I love this art work because of the character the artists give the people. They tell as story within the picture. I love that kind of work.
Artist Blog 29: Calabarte
Calabarte creates crazy lights from gords. These lights are so pretty I would love to make one my self or have one in my room. These lights create beautiful patterns on the walls that will memorize everyone. The design in the gords are awesome, very detailed. The artist does not cut all the way through the gord, she just scrapes the outside so it creates a light color. I think the art work looks like native american designs which I love. But once reflected on the walls the designs look like flowers. I love this I would love one of these in my room! The twisted patterns that are shown on the wall are my favorite.
Artist Blog 28: Boise Art Museum
I went to the Boise Arto Museum and actually found a couple pieces I was interested in. Robert Motherwell's Lament for Loroa and Hung Liu's Mandarin Ducks. I was really interested in the Plate with Famille- Rose Enamells which is from the Quing Dynasty, Kangxi period in China. I am very interested in eastern history. The piece I liked the much was Jeffry Simmon's Janet's Yellow. This piece was so cool and colorful I loved it. I liked the circle pattern as well.
Artist Blog 27: Mr. X
More street art. Mr. X has a great verity of street art that is quite funny. X creates his hard by stencil and spray paint like most street artists. His art is so interesting and crazy. Most of the people in his artwork is of fifty style add people. These people are mixed with crazy random ideas. His art is actually beautiful and funny. His humor is focused toward society and the crazy conflicts that effect us today. There is a work that is of a fat man eating Ronald McDonnelled. This is so funny because of the fast food problem today in the us. I love this work because I feel the same way. Honestly "fuck reality" I would love to be in my own world enjoying my the good in life. But of corse everyone needs to grow up and be an adult and face reality. But this also speaks to me saying how some people today dont grow up and they are stuck in their fantasy world. The second child with all the colors is so pretty. I am not quite sure what it means yet but I love it because of the color and creativity.
Artist Blog 26: Mysterious Belgian Street Artist
This street are is amazing. I love the rugged artwork. This mysterious artist has left his mark on the streets of Belgian. This artist reminds me of Banksy the street artist that leaves impressional marks around the world. This mystery artist has amazing artwork and idea for the animals that he paints. The rabbit that is painted is sooo cool! The patterns of linear lines create an awesome effect. The changing between the colored paint and black and white give the rabbit a three dimensional illusion. The read paint in the rabbit looks like the spine and vains. The black and white is the definition of the rabbit. The second rabbit i love the colors be hind it. A dead rabbit with a rainbow of colors its so random.
Artist Blog 25: Tomer Hanuka
Sunset |
The message I get from sunset is that humans are living on Mars. It looks like a lower middle class family trying to make a living. There how is trash and outside there house is a volcano and tornado. Not ideal living conditions. I love the piece Cell because because of how funny it is! A zombie apocalypse would be funny because of this picture. Zombies have been very popular these days. I played a video game where you kill zombies and it was so much fun. This picture makes me laugh because the business women is geting bit in the face. The dog face also makes me laugh.

Artist Blog 24: Keira Rathbone
Keira Rathbone goes retro and creates art with a typewriter. She creates buildings, nature, and humans with using only the symbols and letters on a typewriter. From a distance the art work just looks like pen but when you look up close it is crazy to see all the familiar symbols put together to create a picture. Her artwork must be very difficult because of the precision that is needed to place a symbol and create an actual figure. I find it interesting how Rathbone uses a typewriter instead of a computer. Maybe she is looking for an antique quality a computer cant produce. Some of the buildings Rathbone has made to me look like houses build before there were typewriters. I think it would be cool to create types of buildings that would be used in the decades of when typewriters were used. It is crazy how much detail is put into here work. Some of the photos dont even look like they are made out of typewriters symbols. The brinks in the house look like normal bricks I cant see the symbols in them. I personally can not believe how these pictures are made. It must take a lot of time to plot out were to put a symbol. The work of the women looks like it could be an actual sketching.
